Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the start a £130,000 resurfacing scheme on Seymour Street which includes the provision of a pedestrian crossing, on the slip road from Queens Road to Seymour Street, accommodated within the existing traffic signal arrangement.
The work is due to begin on 24th February 2014 between Belsize Road and Queens Road.
The Minister said: "This scheme will increase the life of the road, greatly improving the strength and ride quality of the carriageway along this busy route. At the same time we will take the opportunity to improve the provision for pedestrians on the slip road from Queens Road to Seymour Street."
Work on Seymour Street will commence each morning from approximately 9.30am and continue until 4.30pm each evening. During these works, lane closures will be in operation.
The scheme is expected to be complete by 23 March 2014.
