Road Improvement Scheme To Start In Omagh

Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy announced the start of a £200,000 right turn lane and junction improvement scheme near Omagh next week.

The improvement scheme on the A32 Clanabogan Road/U1540 Brookmount Road junction outside Omagh is due to begin on 3 March 2014 and is expected to be completed on 9 May 2014.

The Minister said: "The provision of a right turn lane and the associated improvements to the junction layout will significantly enhance road safety for all motorists particularly in peak hour times."

To help minimise any inconvenience to the travelling public the majority of the work is programmed to be completed whilst maintaining traffic flow through the site via a contra flow system. A temporary 40mph per hour speed limit will be in force for the duration of the works.
