Third Installment Of The Mountainlodge Community Fund Announced

ESB and Galetech Energy have announced the third instalment of The Mountainlodge Community Fund.

The fund, which is administered by Community Foundation Ireland, will open for applications today, Tuesday 11th March 2014.

The fund is designed to support eligible projects and communities located within an 8km radius of the Mountainlodge wind farm, a 31.4MW wind farm co-owned by ESB and Galetech Energy and aims to encourage:

• Stronger, more inclusive communities by ensuring that local people have ownership and involvement in the design and delivery of the projects.

• Work that develops and builds on existing local initiatives.

• Programmes of activities that clearly address local issues, needs and opportunities.
