Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced that a further £173,000 is being invested in the road network in the Dromore area in County Down beginning before the end of March 2014.
Resurfacing work is due to start on 27 March on the B2 Lurgan Road, Dromore, in the Ballynaris area, and is expected to be completed by mid May.
Mr Kennedy said: "This is a significant investment particularly for people in Lurgan – Dromore area. The improvements will be quickly realised by regular users of this busy inter urban route."
As with all improvement schemes of this type, to help ensure the safety of road users and contractors it will be necessary to put in place diversions and closures. Local access will be maintained during the improvements.
Diversions from the B2 will be via B9 Drumlin Road, through Donaghcloney village, the B9 Moygannon Road, A26 Tullyraine Road, A26 Lurgan Road to Banbridge, A26 Dromore Street, A1 Dromore Road to Dromore and B2 Banbridge Road, Dromore.
