Road Improvement Scheme To Begin In Belfast

Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy has confirmed that a road improvement scheme for Forthriver Road in Belfast is set to begin on Tuesday 6 May 2014.

Resurfacing of a stretch of carriageway between Ballygomartin Road and the bus turning circle on Forthriver Road is expected to be completed by Friday 16 May 2014.

Mr Kennedy said: "This scheme will strengthen the road structure and deliver an improved carriageway surface."

To help ensure the safety of road users and contractors the improvements will be carried out under local traffic management arrangements including a partial road closure. A diversion route via Forthriver Way will be in place. Work is scheduled to take place between 9am and 4.30pm each day.
