Resurfacing Works To Start In Castlereagh

Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the start of a £330,000 resurfacing scheme on Saintfield Road, Castlereagh.

The work is due to begin on 19 May 2014 between Woodbreda Park and Beechhill Road.

The Minister said: "This scheme will increase the lifespan of the road, greatly improving the strength and drive quality of the carriageway along this busy commuter route into Belfast."

Works on the Saintfield Road will commence each morning from approximately 9.30am and continue until 4.00pm each evening. During this time all traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction through the works by way of lane closures.

The scheme is expected to be complete by 6 July 2014.
