NI Water Begins Pipelaying Work In Ballymartin

NI Water has started pipelaying work in Ballymartin during the week as part of a £600,000 investment that will deliver a new sewerage infrastructure for the Ballymartin area.

The work will involve the installation of a pumping main to link the new wastewater pumping station, which is being constructed adjacent to the Main Road in Ballymartin, with Kilkeel Wastewater Treatment Works.

Pipelaying work has commenced at Main Road, Ballymartin and will continue along the A2 to Kilkeel for approximately 14 weeks.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane along the sections of the A2 affected by pipelaying.

NI Water and BSG Civil Engineering will work to complete the essential pipelaying work in the shortest timescale possible and with minimal impact to local residents and businesses.
