Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced that a £300,000 road improvement scheme for A29 Cookstown Road in Dungannon began this week.
The resurfacing scheme involves three separate stretches of carriageway. The longest section from the junction with Agharan Road extends approximately 850metres towards Cookstown. The other two areas are between the junctions with Tullycullion Road and Altmore Drive. Work is expected to be completed on Sunday 7 June.
Mr Kennedy said: "This scheme will deliver a much improved running surface on this busy trunk road."
To help minimise inconvenience to drivers, local businesses and residents as much of the work will be carried out without a road closure.
