Pupils from Hollymount National School, Rathmore, recently visited Energia's wind farm at Caherdowney.

The visit offered pupils the chance to learn about the turbines and renewable electricity from Energia staff. The pupils were brought on a tour of the wind farm and there was also turbine painting, goody bags and information for parents and teachers.

Peter Baillie, Managing Director, Energia Renewables said: "We were delighted to welcome the pupils of Hollymount National School to our Caherdowney wind farm. Renewable energy has a very important role to play in powering Ireland’s future growth and development and there is no better way to learn about ‘green’ energy than to visit a wind farm."
