Homeowners Urged To Avail Of Better Energy Home Grants

Homeowners are being urged to take advantage of the Better Energy Home grants.

The cash grants can be used to install insulation, solar panels and heating system upgrades, which could save homeowners 20-30% off their energy bills.

Commenting on home energy upgrades, Brian O'Mahony, Sustainable Energy Authority Of Ireland (SEAI) said: "Summer is the ideal time to install energy saving measures in your home as the works will be less disruptive, particularly with the heating system not being used.

"Applying for a Better Energy Homes grant now will help with the cost of insulation and heating system upgrades making your home cosier and less costly to run next winter and every winter.

"It could also help you to save hundreds of euro a year."
