Sinn Fein has welcomed the announcement that £10 million is to be invested in green energy in schools across Northern Ireland.

Mr Barry McElduff, West Tyrone MLA, said it sends out a very important message about the importance of the green economy.

Mr McElduff said: "As places of learning schools have an important role to play in setting an example to children and young people about the benefits of reducing carbon dioxide emissions and greener forms of energy."
