One Good Idea, part of The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland's (SEAI) schools programme, has scooped an award.
The National Energy Globe Awards, hosted in Dublin, has more than 1,000 entrants from over 120 countries each year.
The One Good Idea programme aims to increase students' understanding of energy efficiency and climate change. Students must use all their creativity and ingenuity in designing campaigns based around their one good idea, to inspire people in their communities to make small lifestyle changes that will use energy more efficiently and help tackle climate change.
Aoife Cannon, Education Executive with SEAI: "Our One Good Idea team work tirelessly throughout the year, as do all the teachers and students who take part. This Energy Globe Award recognises this huge effort and I congratulate all that have been involved over the last six years."
