Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has confirmed a road improvement scheme is to be carried out on the B62 Craigs Road in Rasharkin.
The £85,000 project will see resurfacing works commence on 31 July, between the Tamlaght Road and Duneoin Road, for a stretch of around 0.8km. The scheme is expected to be substantially completed on 1 August.
Minister Kennedy said: "This scheme will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of the carriageway on part of this important road between Rasharkin and Cullybackey."
To reduce inconvenience to the local community elements of the work will be carried out using lane closures only, however a full closure of the Craigs Road will be necessary on 31 July and 1 August in order to facilitate the carriageway surfacing works. A signed traffic diversion will be in place for motorists.
