Kildare County Council has submitted plans to develop a vacant site at the Bawnogues in Kilcock.
It adds that the site would be transformed into a community garden for use by the public.
Explaining its reasoning behind the plans, the Council said the site is located at a "highly visible entrance" to the town, and if developed, will enhance the overall appearance of the town.
The plans are currently on display at Kilcock Library, and can also be viewed on the Council's website.
Feedback on the plans is welcomed. Any comments or observations are to be submitted to the local authority on, or before, Friday 29 August 2014.
