Improvement Scheme To Start In Sion Mills

A £90,000 improvement scheme for Sion Mills is to begin on 29 July.

The carriageway improvement scheme on the B165 Bellspark Road will improve the corner located approximately 700 metres from the A5 Melmount Road junction.

Transport Minister Danny Kennedy said: "This scheme will greatly improve the road safety for all users by widening the carriageway and grass verges to improve the forward sight distance on this stretch of road."

The project is expected to be substantially complete by mid-September 2014.
