Lakeland Youth Centre To Be Rebuilt

A youth centre in Enniskillen is to be demolished to make way for a new development at an estimated cost of £1.3m.

Lakeland Youth Centre is to be rebuilt on the existing site on Wellington Road.

Education Minister John O'Dowd welcomed the decision and said that the investment will enable youth organisations to continue to provide the vital service to young people and make a real difference.

Lakeland is the only youth centre in County Fermanagh and the building was purchased by the Western Education and Library Board in 1993.

Minister O'Dowd said: "I am confident that once built, the new facility will make a significant difference and be much appreciated by the young people in the Fermanagh area."
