Elevated Levels Of Bacteria Found In Bathing Water At Garryvoe Beach

A prohibition notice has been placed at Garryvoe beach in Cork.

The Health & Safety Executive issued the notice, and it will apply until the quality of bathing water is at satisfactory levels.

Elevated levels of bacteria was found in the bathing water and possibly a nearby stream.

The water will be re-sampled and Cork County Council will announce the results.
