Power Networks To Be Upgraded In Ballymena

More than £500,000 is being invested to upgrade the power networks in Ballymena.

Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE) has started the work which will upgrade electricity cables in the town centre and also facilitate the Public Realm Scheme that will commence in 2015.

It is expected that the work will be completed in early November.

The upgrade project will focus on Broughshane Street, William Street, Springwell Street, Church Street and Bryan Street. NIE will contact all properties in the affected areas to make them aware the work is being carried out.
