Two newly refurbished schools have officially opened in Dungarven and Waterford, Ireland.
Minister for Education and Skills, Jan O'Sullivan, TD, has officially opened Scoil Mhuire, Abbeyside, Dungarvan and the Newtown Junior Quaker national school.
Speaking in Waterford, Minister O'Sullivan said: "It is a real honour to be in Waterford today to see these great projects which will make a real difference to students and staff and the wider community.
"Both the Scoil Mhuire and the Quaker National school projects are part of €2bn investment in our school infrastructure that is currently underway. I'd like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to the school management, staff and parents who played a major role in securing this investment.
"Even in the harshest of economic times this Government has invested significantly in school building."
