BAM Contractors and its joint venture partner FP McCann have been selected for the A26 dual carriageway contract in Northern Ireland.
The design and build contract has a value of approximately €48 million, which will be split between the JV partners.
The eight kilometre scheme involves improvement of the A26 Trunk Road from single carriageway to dual two-lane carriageway (D2AP) from south of the Glarryford crossroads to the junction with the A44 Drones Road.
This route links Belfast to the north coast of Northern Ireland and its most popular tourist attractions.
The BAM/McCann joint venture will start works by the end of this year, with completion expected in mid-2017.
