A £1 million improvement scheme is to begin in Desertmartin, Northern Ireland.
Construction work is due to start in mid November on the A29 Tobermore Road and is expected to take 18 weeks to complete.
The scheme will see the reconstruction of some 1,150metres of carriageway, widened to 9.3metres between Quarry Road and Drumsaney Road, with realignment of the bends and increased forward sight lines. Associated works such as drainage, fencing and resurfacing will be carried out at the same time.
To help ensure the safety of all road users and workers it will be necessary to operate temporary traffic control during the course of the improvements and to close the road for a short time to enable resurfacing works. Suitable diversions will be in place where necessary.
