A £12.2m refurbishment scheme for the cross-border Enterprise Rail service has begun.
A series of timetable and service changes will also start on 16 November to enable the work to be carried out.
The service overhaul aims to improve the rail travel experience for passengers between Belfast and Dublin and is due for completion in Autumn 2015.
Work has been financed through the European Union's INTERREG IVA Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) with support from the Department for Regional Development.
On completion, the Enterprise service will feature a new modern interior as well as a new exterior livery; new electronic passenger reservation and information systems; and a mechanical systems overhaul.
