Major Step Forward In Plans For New Leisure Facility In Dungiven

Significant progress is being made regarding plans for a new leisure facility in Dungiven, L'Derry.

Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Ó hOisín has welcomed the progress, with the plans now moving to the design stage.

The East Derry MLA said: "Now that has happened we can look forward to drawing down the £2.5m announced by Culture Minister Carál Ní Chuilín as well as reciprocal funding from the new Causeway Coast and Glens Council.

"The local community in Dungiven will be pleased with the progress on this leisure facility."
