A Northern Ireland construction firm has won the Heartlands Development contract.

Oil States UK awarded Lagan Building Contractors the Heartlands development in Whitburn.

The development is on a 27-acre site on the North side of the B7066, within the Business Park Zone.

The works will comprise of the following four buildings:

• Fabrication/Machine Shop – 21,000m²

• Office Building – Fully integrated CAT A office space – 3,400m²

• Riser Building – 5,500m²

• Gate House – 250m²

Specialist equipment will be required with associated internal and external cranes, water filled pits, high blast pressure test enclosures and facilities to deal with deliveries of large or long loads.
