Homeless Numbers Increase In Dublin

The number of people sleeping on the streets increased by 20%, according to figures by the Dublin Region Homeless Executive.

168 people were found to be sleeping rough compared to 139 in November last year.

There was also a 60% increase between winter 2012 and winter 2013 figures.

A further 152 emergency beds for homeless people are to be provided by the end of this year.
