Farrans Construction Begins Work On Flood Alleviation Scheme

Work has started on the second phase of the £40 million Connswater Community Greenway and East Belfast Flood Alleviation Scheme in east Belfast.

Farrans Construction, will be on site at multiple locations from mid January. The first sections to begin main works are Orangefield Park to Knock Dual Carriageway, Ladas Drive to Montgomery Road, Holywood Arches and Connswater Retail Park.

The remaining sections, which include Beersbridge Road to Elmgrove, Cregagh Glen and Sydenham Bypass to Mersey Street, will follow later in 2015, with all work to be completed by late 2016.
