The Environment Minister is being urged to visit O'Devaney Gardens in Dublin to look at the "appalling conditions" the remaining tenants are being forced to live in.
Dublin Sinn Féin Councillor Janice Boylan is calling on Minister Alan Kelly to make regeneration plans for the area.
She said: "These people have been residing in conditions that can only be described as a living nightmare. There are no playground facilities in the complex and the level of anti-social behaviour and activity has reached an all-time high.
"Minister Kelly would be better positioned to make announcements on plans for the area if he actually knew the area and the appalling conditions currently in O'Devaney Gardens. Residents deserve the right to know what's going on and as soon as the decision is made their concerns regarding it must be taken seriously."
