Minister Visits Refurbished Accommodation In Magherafelt

The Minister for Education has paid a visit to the newly refurbished accommodation at the Rainey Endowed School in Magherafelt.

The accommodation was provided through a £1 million investment from the School Enhancement Programme (SEP).

During the visit, the Minister John O'Dowd had a tour of the school and saw the ongoing enhancement project. Work carried out includes the refurbishment of existing accommodation including the two science labs and toilet provision. In addition, the school is getting a new double modular classroom as well as toilet facilities.

The Minister said: "I am confident that the completion of these works will ultimately provide better facilities for our children and young people to learn in and an improved working environment for teachers and other school staff. The SEP will deliver ongoing significant investment and a boost to our local construction industry, helping to sustain jobs."
