Contractor PK Murphy has installed new double glazing windows on over 60 Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) properties in west Belfast.
The scheme, which cost over £95,000, included 67 homes being fitted with new windows in the Ainsworth area.
Gordon Reilly, West Belfast Housing Services Manager, said: "This is a boost for Shankill residents, I am delighted that we have been able to progress this scheme. Over the years homes in the West of the City have been upgraded and maintained regularly, and in this contract the single glazed windows that have now reached the end of their useful life are being replaced with uPVC double glazed units. By replacing them now tenants will benefit from greater energy efficiency, noise reduction, warmer homes, and lower heating costs in their homes."
