SDLP Hits Out At McGuinness Over Commitment To Establish Community College

The SDLP claims the Deputy First Minister's commitment to the establishment of a community college outside Cookstown is "completely inadequate".

The party's Mid Ulster MLA Patsy McGlone accused Minister Martin McGuinness of being more interested at placing blame than working to secure the establishment of the site at Desertcreat.

Mr McGlone said: "He claims that local opposition is the problem but the truth is that the Desertcreat project has been derailed by the Sinn Fein/DUP austerity budget, something that he is in prime position to remedy.

"I have to ask the deputy First Minister who is the boss? He has completely failed the people living in the Cookstown area who were promised by the executive this substantial boost to the local economy."
