The new viewing point at Mooghaun Hillfort in County Clare has opened.
An older viewing platform was removed after it fell into disrepair.
Simon Harris TD, Minister of State with special responsibility for the Office of Public Works (OPW) said: "This is the largest fort of its type in Ireland and is of considerable historical and archaeological importance. My office, the OPW, has beautifully constructed the platform using natural stone and concrete and the result you see before you provides a safe and pleasant way for visitors to enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding landscape."
