Lisburn-based firm Earney Contracts has started pre-construction works to improve Larne town centre in Northern Ireland.

The areas to benefit from the Public Realm works include Agnew Street, Quay Street, Main Street, Broadway, Main Street Upper and High Street.

The improvement works include:

• Laying of granite stone paving

• Developing Broadway as a central events space

• New street lighting and furniture

• Creating planted areas.

The full works are due to start at the end of July and expected to be completed by July 2016.
