In total €114,300 is to be spent on minor flood mitigation.
Fine Gael TD for Louth, Peter Fitzpatrick, said: "In Castlebellingham, €13,500 will be used to repair the sea defence; €10,800 will be used to construct a rock armour revetment at Annagasson, in Bullurgan €9,000 will be spent on placing a rock armour along the embankment and €81,000 has been allocated to carry out a coastal erosion risk management study in Dundalk Bay.
"All of these works are very worthwhile but the risk management study which will cover Greenore, Dillionstown and Blackrock is especially positive as it looks to the future for Dundalk Bay and will assess how we can protect our coast."
