The Drapers' Towns Partnership has received over £100,000 to develop and maintain the heritage and walking trails across the Sperrins, along the border of County Tyrone and L'Derry.
The Partnership was awarded the funding by the South West Action for Rural Development (SWARD) from the Rural Development Programme (RDP).
Four heritage trails based around the villages of Desertmartin, Sixtowns, Draperstown and the East Sperrins Driving Trail are to be created. The works will also improve eight existing walking trails throughout the Sperrins Gateway area. Sections of the trails are located on farmland and other privately owned land and Forest Service land at Derrynoyd, Iniscarn and Moydamlaght.
