The proposed new Divisional Headquarters at Mulgannon Road include the provision of Garda infrastructure for town and regional policing as well as a major public building providing a civic presence.
The plans include:
• The provision of a quality contemporary building and landscaping works which will transform a derelict site in a key area of Wexford town.

• The provision of a building which will provide modern 21st century facilities for Gardaí and members of the public, particularly victims of crime.
Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Brendan Howlin TD, said: "This new Divisional Headquarters for Wexford, is one of three major Garda construction projects being undertaken as part of the Government Infrastructure Stimulus Package, the others being Kevin Street in Dublin, and Galway.
"The contemporary building design of this new Divisional Headquarters in Mulgannon Road will transform a derelict site in a key area of Wexford town. I also welcome that this project will generate nearly 250 jobs during its construction. It will provide world class facilities to An Garda Síochána after many years of labouring in unsuitable and overcrowded conditions."
