New Member Appointed To DOE's Prosperity Panel

A new member has been appointed to the Department of Environment's (DOE) Prosperity Panel.

Dr Howard Hastings OBE, Managing Director of Hastings Hotels, is to join the Prosperity Panel, which is made up of business and environmental experts across Northern Ireland and chaired by Environment Minister Mark H Durkan.

It provides a forum for discussing key environmental issues and how innovative thinking can turn challenges into opportunities to enhance business, deliver cost reductions and improve the environment.

Minister Mark H Durkan said: "Howard Hastings is a very welcome boost to the Panel. Direct inputs from business leaders is helping me to identify the critical issues and expertise from a wide range of sectors to ensure that we are all working towards common goals of a healthy, resilient environment and prosperous economy."
