The Government has been accused of "neglecting rural Ireland" over its funding allocation to CEDRA 2015.
Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Agriculture Éamon Ó Cuív said only €1 million has been provided for pilot innovative projects which progress the CEDRA remit.
He said: "This represents an abject failure by this government and it is an appalling indication of their investment plans for rural Ireland.
"After four years of prevarication and delay all we have from this government is a report and a token €1m fund.
"If this measly funding allocation of €1 million is broken down on a county per county basis, this would represent just €38,461 in CEDRA funding per county. This is an absolute insult to people struggling on the margins in rural Ireland who see services being removed systematically by this government including the Clár Scheme, closure of small schools, withdrawal of gardaí and CWOs."
