Design Team Appointed To Undertake Potential Refurb Of Lurgan Railway Station

A new design team has been appointed to undertake the potential refurbishment of Lurgan Railway Station.

SDLP Upper Bann MLA Dolores Kelly has welcomed the news and said it is a first step towards achieving a station in Lurgan that is fit for purpose.

She said: "The design team will conduct a feasibility study and report back with options to improve facilities at the station which is in desperate need of upgrading.

"Any potential for this project is of course dependent on securing funding and following the study, a Comprehensive spending review will ultimately decide if the refurbishment will go ahead."
