Bridge Strengthening Scheme Starts In Co Tyrone

A major bridge strengthening project has started in County Tyrone.

The £175,000 scheme at Bonds Bridge on the Derrygally Road in Dungannon, includes strengthening, refurbishment and painting of the existing steel structure.

The scheme is expected to last up to 12 weeks.

The bridge crosses the River Blackwater. It is a three span steel beam structure with a span of 53 metres. Bonds Bridge has a 12'9" height restriction and a 7.5 tonne weight restriction.
