People aged 60 or over living in the Greater Belfast area are being urged to apply for a grant of £500 towards the cost of switching to natural gas.
The 60+ Saver initiative has been launched to help older people who want to upgrade to natural gas from their current inefficient heating systems.
Phil Flanagan, Sinn Fein Energy Spokesperson, said: "The 60+ Saver scheme is a welcome help for older people who would like to convert to natural gas and the good thing is that the scheme can also be used in conjunction with the Executive's Boiler Replacement Allowance so those on lower incomes could receive up to £1500 towards making the switch."
