Bangor Improvement Scheme Complete

An improvement scheme in Bangor, Co Down, is now complete.

The scheme, to upgrade pedestrian and cycle facilities at A2/Gransha Road Roundabout, also provides full traffic signal control on the roundabout, with spiral road markings and upgraded street lighting.

The new traffic signals will become operational on Friday 28 August 2015.

A legislative process is also underway to provide a new shared cycle/footway to the local grammar school with further works then linking the footway and cycleway network to the existing cycle facilities on Balloo Road.
