Tricel in Co Kerry and Wood Energy Solutions in Co Tipperary announced contracts totalling over €5m with French companies at a Business Breakfast in Lyon.
Tricel signed a contract with Rhone Alpes Assainissement.
Rhone Alpes Assainissement is made up of two companies which together provide sanitation solutions in micro and mini wastewater treatment plants and compact filters to the region: Alp Solutions Environnement, which services the Isère, Ardeche, Haute-Alpes and Drôme departments, and 2 Savoie Environnement, working in the Savoie, Haute-Savoie, Ain, Jura, Loire, Saône-et-Loire et Rhone departments in France. Tricel signed a supply agreement with Hubert Aude of Alp' Solutions Environnement and Hervé Berlioz of 2 Savoie Environnement.

Wood Energy Solutions (WES), manufacture biomass boilers and microCHP for the domestic and commercial sectors. Its principle markets up to now have been the UK, USA and Canada. WES announced that it is expanding into mainland European markets through its joint venture company WOODCO (a joint venture between WES and Ecometis). WOODCO has appointed a distributor in France - Novotek - which has already signed a contract with a major French energy company for biomass boilers and microCHP biomass boilers. WOODCO also signed a distribution agreement with their first distributor in Spain - SUGAAR.
