Construction work has started on a £195,000 resurfacing project in Newry.
The scheme, on the B8 Newry road, through Mayobridge village, is expected to be completed in eight weeks.
The work includes the replacement and addition of red textured surfacing and improved road markings highlighting the school patrol crossing and 30mph village entry points.
In order to facilitate the works and ensure the safety of workers and the public, lane closures and a two week road closure will be required to complete the surfacing works. The actual dates of the planned closure will be published in advance of the commencement of any road closure.
The work is expected to be substantially completed by Friday 27 November 2015.
