Work To Start On Road Improvement Project In Co Down

Work on a £140,000 road improvement project in Newtownards is to start on Saturday, 10 October.

Work on carriageway resurfacing at A20/A21 Portaferry Road/New Road junction, A20 Castle Street/Portaferry Road and U9020 Court Street/Old Cross Street is expected to be substantially completed by the end of October.

The scheme is expected to improve the strength, shape and surface quality of a 900 metre section of the road.

Diversions will be put in place during the works.
