Construction work has started on a £385,000 road improvement project between Limavady and Dungiven in Northern Ireland.
The scheme on the B68 Ballyquin Road at Inisconagher is expected to be complete by mid-January next year.
Transport Minister Michelle McIlveen said: "The scheme includes carriageway widening and the introduction of new verges. The work will provide improvements to the horizontal and vertical alignment of the Ballyquin Road for a length of over a third of a mile (600m) from the junction with the Derryork Road towards Dungiven."
The Ballyquin Road will be closed between Derryork Road and Camnish Road with Dungiven bound traffic diverted via Derryork Road, Drumrane Road and Main Street. Limavady bound traffic will be diverted via Main Street, Dungiven, Drumrane Road and Derryork Road.
It will also be necessary to close Drumbane Road from Ballyquin Road to Gortnacross Road with traffic diverted via Derryork road, Drumrane Road, Main Street and Garvagh Road, Dungiven, Legavallen Road and Gortnacross Road.
Diversions will be put in place.
