Call For More Social Homes To Be Developed In East Antrim

Sinn Féin is calling for more social homes to be developed in the east Antrim area.

Oliver McMullan MLA met with the Social Development Minister Mervyn Storey to discuss the urgent need for more social housing in the Glens and Carnlough areas.

Mr McMullun also questioned Minister Storey on why the kitchen replacement scheme at Shane's Park in Cushendun has been put back until the middle of 2016.

He said: "The minister listened to my concerns and said he would revisit the social housing provision in the East Antrim area and will meet with the Housing Executive and I to take this forward.

"I will be following this up with the minister to ensure that progress is made for the many people on housing waiting lists."
