Building Work On New 3G Pitch Starts In Co Tyrone

Construction work has started on a new 3G pitch to be developed near Augher, Co Tyrone.

The £300,000 facility has been funded by the Department for Social Development (DSD) through the Regional Shared Sports Facility pilot programme.

The development will include a synthetic football training pitch with flood lights which will be used by local soccer clubs and other sporting organisations within the area.

The aim of the programme is to enable divided and isolated communities to establish new relations and encourage cross community involvement in sport.
