New Training College To Be Developed In Co Tyrone

A number of construction jobs are to be created after almost £80 million funding has been allocated to build a new training college in Co Tyrone.

Sinn Féin MLA Ian Milne welcomed the £79.4m funding package for an emergency service training college at Desertcreat.

He said: "This project will see the creation of a training college for the Fire and Rescue Service and the funding announcement is a positive step forward.

"Not only will this college at Desertcreat improve training for the Fire and Rescue Service but it will also provide a welcome boost to the local economy and construction sector."
