The NI Executive's decision to spend £1.3 million of additional funding on flood prevention measures has been welcomed by Sinn Féin.
Sinn Féin councillor Catherine Seeley recently visited some of the people affected by the recent flooding and said she knows the challenges they face.
She said: "It is important that further preventative measures in preparation for flooding incidents in the future.
"My party colleague, Agriculture Minister Michelle O'Neill has been to the fore in dealing with the recent flooding.
"She will now work with other ministers to bring forward proposals looking at further options to support flood-hit communities."
