NI Water and Farrans Construction have started work on a water mains improvement programme in south Belfast.
Work is now underway in the Mountmerrion area of South-East Belfast and it is expected to take approximately five months to complete.
Affected streets include; Burren Way, Mount Merrion Avenue, Coonen Way, South Bank, North Bank, Grillagh Way, Sheskin Way, Kilbroney Bend and The Straight.
NI Water said: "This project is good news for the local area as the new watermains will improve the quality, reliability and security of the local water supply, while reducing leakage and improving pressure in the area.
"Traffic management and signage will be in place as necessary, and local access for residents will be maintained at all times."
